Dinner with a View

The view from our table at Bien Shur Restaurant

This week we had the opportunity for a “staycation” at the Sandia Casino and Resort.  Located about 10 minutes from our house, this local Indian casino is one of the top attractions in Albuquerque.

If you like playing cards or the slot machines, this is a fun destination.  There is also a golf course neighboring the hotel with beautiful views of the entire Rio Grande Valley and of the Sandia Mountains.  We play that course often!

We were able to take advantage of a special deal for the locals to stay at the hotel and enjoy all it has to offer.  First, we met up with some family members to play bingo.  Alas, none of us ever had the chance to shout it out.  Although, we were able to parlay some of the free casino cash, which helped us pay for our wonderful and relaxing couples massage at the Green Reed Spa.

We then headed to the top floor of the hotel to have a delectable dinner at Bien Shur Restaurant.  The company was delightful, the food was delicious, and the views of the Sandia Mountains were spectacular.  I made sure give a toast with my Watermelon Martini – Salud!

    • It was really a special experience. Make sure to check out deals the Sandia website. We actually got the deal through Harrah’s Total Rewards program. Sometimes they offer deals to you during your birthday month too. Make sure you at least try out Bien Shur restaurant.

  1. My family considered going to Bien Shur for Easter, but had no reservations. Thanks for the tip, I will definitely look into it 🙂
