If you’ve been to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, you’ll understand the infinite photo opportunities one has when watching the hundreds of colorful balloons rise into the big blue sky.
For the Weekly Watermelon, my goal was to capture the Sandia Mountains in the background as the balloons drifted across the high desert landscape.
In this slide show, you’ll be able to enjoy the time lapse of sunrise to the last of the ascending balloons. Of course, this represents only a small percentage of all the photos I took in a single morning — all before 8:00 am.
